Carreras Grupo Logístico has started an innovative external mobility pilot that uses hydrogen in its long-distance distribution vehicles. This project represents a significant step in the implementation of the sustainable hydrogen ecosystem that the logistics operator has started at its logistics centre in Masquefa.
This is the second phase initiated by the logistics operator at its warehouse in Masquefa, a collaborative project with Plug Power and Toyota Material Handling Spain that consists of an H2 supply system and means of handling (forklifts) powered by this fuel.
In addition, the feasibility of converting combustion vehicles through HVO + Hydrogen hybridization will be studied and its use in different scenarios will be analyzed, including on-site distribution, movements between the centers of Masquefa, Zaragoza and Madrid, as well as customer shuttles.

The pilot, which will last three months, has the collaboration of Repsol, Zoilo Ríos and EVARM. This project arises after the development of an EVARM Diesel + Hydrogen hybrid tractor unit, equipped with the EVARM WOLF H2 system, optimized from the version used in the DAKAR.
For this reason, this project seeks to replicate the success of its hybrid tractor, which has achieved its second consecutive victory in the Mission 1000 category of the DAKAR, reserved for vehicles powered by alternative energies.
Carreras Grupo Logístico is confident in the success of this pilot and in the possibility of applying the results to its logistics processes, making its operations more sustainable.
