Yesterday, the IDiA cluster (Research, Development and Innovation in Aragon) celebrated its twentieth anniversary in the Aragonese capital, paying tribute to the people, projects and alliances that have shaped IDiA over these 20 years. In this event, Carreras Grupo Logístico was recognized in the category of ‘Digital Social Impact’ for its outstanding contribution to emergency situations and social causes, an award that was collected by Fernando Carreras.
Carreras Grupo Logístico and the Miguel Carreras Calvete e Hijos Foundation have worked tirelessly to provide support in critical moments, such as the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and the Dana in Valencia in 2024. Thanks to its advanced information systems, the company has demonstrated an exceptional ability to deploy new logistics centers and manage materials with agility and speed.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Carreras managed the logistics centre for the storage and distribution of materials, collaborating in the collection and transport of supplies, and providing space in its warehouse in PlaZa. In addition, the company managed pro bono the handling and preparation of masks, gloves and other materials for distribution to hospitals, health centers, nursing homes and institutions.
In the special operation to support the victims of the Dana in Valencia, Carreras Grupo Logístico and the Miguel Carreras Foundation have worked to help those affected by transporting and managing goods in different parts of Spain, including Zaragoza, Seville, Madrid, Alicante and Valencia.
This recognition on IDiA‘s anniversary underlines Carreras Grupo Logístico’s commitment to social responsibility and innovation, highlighting its essential role in crisis management and its positive impact on the community.
