Within the framework of the II Agroindustrial Forum “Hub of energy, sustainability and technology of the future”, organized by elEconomista in Huesca, Héctor Benito, director of projects and sustainability at Carreras, took part in a discussion table with representatives of entities such as CIRCE, Zaragoza Logistics Center, Grupo Samca and Inneara. During the session, key issues such as logistics costs, competitiveness, the decarbonisation of the agri-food chain and the opening to international markets were addressed, highlighting the need for greater collaboration between technology, energy and logistics to drive the transformation of the sector.

For his part, at the #DIGITALIZA26 meeting, focused on the digitalisation of the logistics sector and coordinated by EY, Fernando Gutiérrez, head of Development of the IT Area of Carreras, participated in a debate with experts from Ontime, ESIC and the Smart Ports Chair. This forum analysed the impact of digital transformation on the supply chain, underlining the role of technology as a driver of efficiency, innovation and process improvement in an increasingly competitive environment. Specifically, the challenge posed by the mandatory nature of the e-CMR and how Carreras is facing it was analyzed.

In turn, at the conference organized by UNO in Toledo, the director of logistics operations, Pablo Garzón, participated in the round table “Talent in logistics: strategies for a sector in transformation”, where the importance of the human factor in a sector in full evolution was highlighted. During his speech, he highlighted the need to attract new generations, promote continuous training and promote business cultures based on close leadership, innovation and professional development.

Finally, we have participated in IBM’s annual Think event in its centenary celebration in Spain. Javier Ibáñez, Director of ICT at Carreras, and Ricardo Guillén, Head of the Technology Area at Carreras, spoke about how the company is integrating AI into software development and improving its processes and decision-making. They have focused on the use of IBM BOB, a software generation agent, in which they have been pioneers in Spain and Europe working directly with the IBM BOB development team in the USA.

With its presence at these forums, Carreras Grupo Logístico reaffirms its commitment to the evolution of the sector, betting on a model that combines sustainability, digitalisation and talent development as fundamental pillars to face the challenges of the future.
