ALIA and Signos IoT receive an international award for the SiChock smart chock, with the collaboration of Carreras Grupo Logístico

SICHOCK

The Aragonese SiChock project, an innovative smart chock for trucks, has been awarded the Excellence in Safety Award at the Logistics Innovation Awards of the European Technology Platform ALICE, in recognition of its impact on improving safety in logistics operations.

The device, developed by the Zaragoza-based company Signos IoT and promoted by the ALIA cluster (Clúster Logístico de Aragón), has had the active participation of Carreras Grupo Logístico,  which has collaborated in the testing and validation phases of the system in real environments.

The award was collected in Brussels by Alejandro Herráez, technical director of ALIA, who highlighted the importance of the project: “SiChock significantly improves safety in loading and unloading docks, and thanks to the collaboration of companies such as Carreras Grupo Logístico, we have been able to perfect its functionality and adapt it to the real needs of the sector”.

Carreras Grupo Logístico has been akey leisure player in the development of the project, contributing its operational experience and facilitating the implementation of 70 units of the smart chock in real logistics facilities. This collaboration has been instrumental in validating the system and moving towards commercialization.

 

 

 

SiChock is a wireless chock that, in addition to immobilizing the vehicle, allows real-time monitoring of logistics operations, issuing acoustic and visual alerts in the event of any incident. Its integration with digital platforms offers key performance indicators (KPIs), traceability, and connectivity with ERP and WMS systems, making it a scalable and affordable solution for businesses of all sizes.

The project has been funded by the Ministry of Industry and has also had the participation of Aralogic, We Logistics and TECNARA, the ICT cluster of Aragon.

This European recognition highlights the innovation capacity of the Aragonese logistics ecosystem and the commitment of companies such as Carreras Grupo Logístico to safety, efficiency and the digital transformation of the sector.
